At an event, producer Rajan Shahi discussed Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and revealed that he had received a notice to end the show.
The popular television show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, which was first aired in 2009, still holds a significant position in the TV industry after 15 years. The show boasts a dedicated fan base and is ranked among the top five TV shows. Producer Rajan Shahi has managed to take the show forward for 15 years despite facing TRP fluctuations and trolling. Recently, he addressed shutdown rumours at the Shahi Iftaar Party for his other show, Anupamaa.
Producer Shahi extended invitations to actors from several TV shows, including Anupamaa, Aai Kuthe Kay Karte, Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si, Woh Toh Hai Albela, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, and more. He invited actors he has worked with previously to attend the event. Shahi also took the opportunity to address the media during the party.
At the event, the producer discussed Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and revealed that he had received a notice to end the show. He noted receiving similar notices from the programming team on several occasions. He shared that whenever Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai received a shutdown notice, its ratings consistently increased. This suggests that the audience supports the show and prefers it to continue for the foreseeable future.
During an Iftari party, Rajan Shahi, the host, revealed that Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has often received shutdown notices from Star Plus. “I’ve got messages from the programming team saying the show might end. Surprisingly, each time we’ve received such messages, more people have tuned in to watch Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.”
The current storyline of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai features its fourth generation with Abhira and Armaan in the spotlight.
