With the results of the Telangana assembly elections out, the KCR government, which has been in place for many years, will be replaced by the Congress government in the state. Indian National Congress won a total of 64 seats for the first time in Telangana, ousting the incumbent Bharat Rashtra Samithi. In the southern film industries, where politics and the film industries are interlinked, a change of government may have major changes in the dynamics of the film industry. Meanwhile, the swearing-in for the newly elected Congress government, which was to take place on December 4, has been delayed due to disagreement among the 64 MLAs on the choice of Chief Minister.
