Jaideep Ahlawat has opened up about stepping into a new role in Drishyam 3 and whether he felt any pressure while replacing Akshaye Khanna in the franchise. The actor clarified that he never looked at the character as a replacement for Akshaye. Watch the video below:

“When I heard the story, it did not feel like I was coming in place of Akshaye sir. A new character is being introduced,” Jaideep said, adding that there was no point in carrying the pressure of comparisons as an actor. He further explained that the character has a different journey, a fresh introduction and a new relationship with Meera and the Salgaonkar family. Hence, he approached the role individually without any pressure. Ajay Devgn also spoke about Drishyam 3.
