Parineeti Chopra recently married AAP leader Raghav Chadha.

Parineeti Chopra’s classmate had once called her out for ‘lying through the teeth in front of the camera’.

At a time when Parineeti Chopra has been ruling headlines following her wedding with the politician Raghav Chadha, an old video of the actress has surfaced online in which she can be seen talking about the ‘hardships’ she faced during her childhood. However, do you know Parineeti was also called out by one of her classmates for the same video? Here’s everything that happened:

What Did Parineeti Chopra Say In The Viral Interview?

In the interview, Parineeti Chopra recalled her childhood days and talked about the hardships she faced. She claimed that her family did not have a lot of money and therefore, they had to face several ‘mushkil’. “I am from Ambala. We faced several hardships when we grew up. I have two brothers. We didn’t have a lot of money. I used to go to school on a bicycle. We had no car, driver or money for bus,” she said.

Parineeti Chopra’s Classmate Called Her Out For ‘Lying’

However, soon after Parineeti’s interview clip went viral, one of her alleged classmates Kkanoo Gupta called her out and slammed her for “lying through the teeth in front of the camera”. He accused her of creating a ‘fabricated’ story and claimed that Parineeti’s father had a car which was then considered luxurious.

“Coming from the same school I probably also remember the car her father used to have. And going to school on a cycle was a trend those days and also a privilege, not everyone had,” the classmate wrote.

How Had Parineeti Reacted To Her Classmate’s Allegations?

Later, Parineeti had also issued a statement reacting to her classmate’s allegations. She claimed that her statement was ‘misconstructed’ and revealed that even though her father had a car, she and her brothers were not allowed to use it. “I was talking about using a car and driver to go to school. That’s all. The essence of what and why I was giving that example was completely lost,” a part of her statement read.
