When Manoj Bajpayee Chased Tigmanshu Dhulia With A Brick, Fought With Anubhav Sinha And…

Manoj was last seen in Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai.

The events unfolded when Manoj Bajpayee appeared on the show of Journalist Rajat Sharma’s Aap Ki Adalat.

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has previously asserted that actor Manoj Bajpayee has a reputation for a quick temper, with tales of his anger being known from Bihar to Mumbai. Kashyap even shared a memory of Bajpayee chasing after him with a stone when he felt insulted. Recently, Bajpayee acknowledged these claims, admitting to his past temperamental behaviour and characterizing them as “youthful mistakes.”

During his recent appearance on Rajat Sharma’s Aap Ki Adalat, Bajpayee was reminded that Kashyap had a falling out with him for 11 years due to certain issues. In response, Bajpayee recounted, “I remember a time when I got so angry with him that I chased after him to confront him physically.”

Rajat Sharma also brought up the incidents when Bajpayee had chased filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia with a brick in his hand. Without delving into the details of what led to those actions, Bajpayee casually dismissed them, saying, “These are all mistakes I made in my youth.” When pressed for more information, The Family Man actor added, “We fought after drinking alcohol. What else can I say?”

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta also severed communication with Bajpayee when the actor called him in the US and used abusive language. Following the incident, Mehta didn’t speak to the actor for six years. Bajpayee acknowledged his mistake, saying, “Yes, I agree. I apologize for it.”

In addition to his conflicts with Kashyap, Dhulia, and Mehta, Manoj Bajpayee also disagreed with filmmaker Anubhav Sinha. He believed that Sinha, despite being his friend, didn’t support him when he needed it, leading to a rift between them.

Bajpayee recounted the incident, saying, “Anubhav Sinha was working on a TV series, and I was cast as a mute henchman for a mafia gang leader. The producer had agreed to pay Rs 4,000 per episode. I acted in four episodes, which should have amounted to Rs 16,000. At that time, in 1993, I was struggling financially. When I approached the producer for my payment, he deceived me saying that I would be getting only Rs 2000. I wanted Anubhav to take a stand for me, which he says he did. But, I don’t know. I was so upset with him that I stopped talking to him.”
