Vishnu Manchu Launches Kannappa Comic Book On Father Mohan Babu’s Birthday
The book launch took place on March 19.
The book unveiling was done by Mohan Babu, at the Mohan Babu University, Rangampeta in Tirupati, Telangana.
South Cinema star Vishnu Manchu is currently busy with the shoot of his upcoming film titled Kannappa. Amidst the ongoing shoot, Vishnu unveiled the first volume of the comic book, based on his film’s character of Kannappa. This event was held on the occasion of his father, actor Mohan Babu’s birthday. The Kannappa comic book launch took place on Tuesday, March 19, on the birthday of Mohan Babu. As per more information, it is based on the life of Bhakta Kannappa and titled Kannappa Story Book Volume 1. The book unveiling was done by Mohan Babu, at the Mohan Babu University, Rangampeta, in Tirupati, Telangana. At the occasion, Vishnu Manchu spoke about his decision to launch this comic. He revealed that he wanted everyone to know this story, as it is the “most compelling tale” he read. He added, “I believed that this was a fantastic place to start when it came to empowering the youth to take ownership of our history.” He concluded by saying that he “wanted Kannappa’s perseverance and dedication to serve as an example for everyone.”
The upcoming Telugu release, Kannappa is being touted as a fantasy-drama film, being made under the direction of Mukesh Kumar Singh. Vishnu Manchu is playing the titular role of Kannappa. The rest of the cast includes names like Preity Mukhundhan, Mohan Babu, R Sarathkumar, Brahmanandan, along with Prabhas and Mohanlal, who will appear in cameo roles in the film. It is being produced by Mohan Babu under the banners of AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory. Stephen Devassy and Mani Sharma are composing the music in the film, while Sheldon Chau, a notable Hollywood technician is doing the cinematography and the editing is being done by Anthony. As per more reports, the film is being made on a budget of Rs 99 crore.
Vishnu Manchu is also the screenplay writer of the film. The story is penned by Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, G Nageswara Reddy, Eshwar Reddy and Thota Prasad.
