Sudhir Phadke will soon be immortalised by a biopic, chronicling his life in a movie titled Swargandharva Sudhir Phadke. The trailer of the Marathi movie was recently unveiled at a grand event. Actor Sunil Barve is all set to portray the role of Babuji in this musical movie. Other actors in the project include Mrunmayee Deshpande, Sagar Talashikar, Milind Phatak, Adish Vaidya, Sukhada Khandkekar, Apoorva Modak, Avinash Narkar, Dhiresh Joshi and Paritosh Pradhan.

Recently, Babuji’s magnum opus Geet Ramayana celebrated its 69th anniversary, further solidifying his enduring legacy in the realm of music. A grand event was held to commemorate the anniversary with a 20-feet-tall poster of the upcoming movie unveiled at Pune about two weeks back. It was attended by Sudhir Phadke’s family and other distinguished personalities like Shridhar Phadke, Anand Madgulkar. The film is slated to release in May, coinciding with Maharashtra Day. The film was officially announced on 25 July 2023 on the occasion of Phadke’s birth anniversary at an event in the Swatantrya Veer Savarkar Memorial Hall in Mumbai.
