After stirring up a lot of debate with his 2022 film The Kashmir Files, film director Vivek Agnihotri is back with another real-life inspired movie, titled The Vaccine War. Despite all the debates surrounding The Kashmir Files, there is no denying the fact that the film, based on the 1990 exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from Kashmir valley was a humongous success. And it seems like Agnihotri plans on achieving the same success with The Vaccine War. The buzz revolving around the upcoming bio-science drama has already started. Now, Agnihotri has treated fans with another surprise. The filmmaker has dropped the first look poster of The Vaccine War on social media, spiralling the excitement further.

“PRESENTING: The first look at India’s first-ever Bio-science film The Vaccine War. Releasing worldwide on 28 September 2023” wrote Vivek Agnihotri on X (formerly Twitter) and on Instagram. The first-look poster offered a glimpse of the star cast of the film, including Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar, Raima Sen, Pallavi Joshi, Sapthami Gowda, Nivedita Bhattacharya, Girija Oak Godbole, and Mohan Kapur.

The poster presented a worrisome situation, with the cast exhibiting tense expressions. Kantara fame Sapthami Gowda was dressed in a doctor’s coat giving a major indication of the role she would be playing in The Vaccine War. Raima Sen, on the other hand, was draped in a saree. The poster also featured an embed of a COVID-19 vaccine bottle alongside a nurse, wearing a face mask and holding a tray in her hands.

Social media users rallied into the comment section to congratulate The Vaccine War team for their forthcoming cinematic venture. Noting the first-look poster, a user wrote that it “Looks promising.” Another excited user claimed, “Congratulations to the whole team. What a wonderful movie. Eagerly waiting to rewatch it once released.” “Sir, what about the trailer? We can’t wait, please” noted a third individual.
