Shreyas Talpade’s Wife Reveals How Akshay Kumar ‘Kept Calling Her’ After Actor’s Heart Attack

Shreyas Talpade, who is known for some notable comic roles in Bollywood, suffered a major heart attack in 2023. The actor underwent an angioplasty procedure and has been recovering since then. Recently, his wife, Deepti Talpade, shared how people from both the Marathi and Hindi film industries stood by her in this difficult time. She especially expressed her gratitude towards Akshay Kumar, who was eager to help in the crisis.
In conversation with ABP’s Majha Katta, Deepti Talpade said, “When the news broke out, Shreyas’ director Ahmed Khan and his wife came to the hospital at 11 pm at night. They were with me. Akshay Kumar, you know he kept calling me and asked, ‘Deepti should we shift him? You tell me, we will shift him to a different hospital.” He again called me in the morning and said, “Let me please see him for two minutes. I just want to see him.” Deepti has graciously welcomed his concern and assured him that he may visit whenever he likes. She added that this incident showed the joint support of the Hindi and Marathi cinema industries during a difficult time
Shreyas Talpade stated in another interview with ETimes that Ahmed Khan, Akshay Kumar, and others have been visiting him at his home. Recently, in an interview with Instant Bollywood, Shreyas Talpade revealed that he has started working again but is also taking care of his health.
After his treatment in the hospital, back in December, Deepti Talpade took to her Instagram handle to share that the actor had been discharged and was back home. Expressing her gratitude, she wrote, “My life, Shreyas, is back home…safe and sound. I would argue with Shreyas saying I don’t know where to put my faith. Today I know the answer to my question, GOD Almighty. He was with me that evening when this drastic event happened in our lives. I don’t think I’ll ever question his existence henceforth.”
She further thanks all those individuals who helped her during the crisis. She expressed, “To all those people, you were God incarnate that evening for us. Thank you. I hope my message reaches you. Please know that I shall be eternally grateful to you from the core of my being.”
Shreyas Talpade rose to prominence with appearances in films such as Om Shanti Om, Iqbal, Dor, and the Golmaal franchise. Shreyas Talpade and Akshay Kumar had worked in the films like – Housefull 2, Joker, De Danan Dan. Shreyas will appear in the third edition of the Welcome film series. He is part of the ensemble cast of Welcome To This Jungle, which also includes Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, and others.
