Shaitaan Box Office Day 9: Ajay Devgn Starrer Grows Huge On Saturday!
There was very good growth for Shaitaan on Saturday, as 9.12 crores came in. On Friday the film had collected 5.12 crores, so this growth which has come in on Saturday is really good. This is on expected lines as well since it has been seen in the last year that when a film has been set well in theatres then week on week the kind of growth that comes on Saturday is really good. In the case of Shaitaan, it’s a much-loved film now amongst audiences, and that’s reflected in this Saturday growth.
To think of it, the film is not without its competition and still, it’s bringing in so much moolah. There is Yodha, which has been released, and that film is fighting it out as well at the box office. In such a situation, if Shaitaan is still doing so well and that too in its second week then that’s really commendable. What has to be seen is the kind of jump that comes in today. This is another phenomenon seen in recent times. While Saturday growth has come for many films, on Sundays this gets stuck around that 10%-20% range. If Shaitaan can break that barrier, then that would be really good.
Meanwhile, the film is now just a day away from crossing the 100 crores mark. Currently, it stands at 95.84 crores, and that’s just the kind of run that sets the case for the film to aim for those really big numbers by close of lifetime. Things are well on track for the Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan starrer and one just hopes that it happens indeed.
