Shaitaan Box Office Collection Day 2: Ajay Devgn’s Horror Flick Has A Solid Growth On Saturday
Shaitaan is set to be a very good success at the box office. The film had overperformed on Friday when 15.21 crore came in. Even after accounting for the partial holiday of Mahashivratri, this was a very good number. Hence, growth on Saturday was expected to be limited.
However, what happened on the second day of Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan & Jyothika‘s film is just unbelievable since further growth has actually come in. Had this been from a regular Friday to Saturday, then it would have been quite good, and here it is after a partial holiday.
This can well be seen from the fact that Saturday collections have come to 19.18 crore, and that’s simply a terrific number for this genre. Any mid-budget film would be thrilled to have this number on a Sunday, and here it’s still just the second day for Shaitaan.

This only shows further that word of mouth is quite good for the film, and more and more audiences are getting attracted to watching it in theatres.
This Saturday’s growth has now pretty much confirmed that 20 crore mark would be crossed on Sunday. That would be really impressive and would also ensure that the opening weekend would comfortably find itself in that 53-55 crore range.
So far, the Ajay Devgn and Madhavan starrer has already collected 34.39 crore, and now it’s about gathering that huge moolah on Sunday before settling down on Monday.
