Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film is generating buzz not just for Deol’s involvement but also for the return of Preity Zinta to Bollywood after a nearly six-year hiatus. Adding to the excitement, veteran actress Shabana Azmi is set to play a special role in Lahore, in 1947, portraying the character of a Hindu matriarch in Lahore. The storyline revolves around her insistence on living in an ancestral mansion, now owned by a Muslim family after the India-Pakistan partition. Zinta, returning to the silver screen after a hiatus, was last seen in the 2018 action comedy-drama Bhaiaji Superhit, featuring an ensemble cast alongside Sunny Deol, Arshad Warsi, Ameesha Patel and Shreyas Talpade.
