Meera Jasmine is set to appear in the upcoming Malayalam movie Queen Elizabeth, directed by M Padmakumar and co-starring Narain. The film, which began filming in Kochi, revealed its first look featuring Meera in April this year. The makers have recently released the lyrical song titled Chembakapooventhe from Queen Elizabeth. Sung by Haricharan, the song’s music is composed by Ranjin Raj, with lyrics penned by Joe Paul. It is a soothing love tune with lyrics praising Meera Jasmine’s character by the protagonist. The lyrical song also includes cute moments of Meera Jasmine and team on the sets of the film. Fans reacted with positive comments like “Meera jasmine charm adds a whole new dimension to this lyrical video!”. Another fan commented “Beautiful music and lyrics”.
Penned by Arjun T Sathyan, known for Rakshadikari Baiju Oppu, the movie is described as a lighthearted urban entertainer and signifies the reunion of Meera Jasmine and Narain. Earlier, they have starred in films like Achuvinte Amma, Ore Kadal, and Minnaminnikoottam.
Meera Jasmine and Narain recently conveyed their joy about the reunion for Queen Elizabeth. In a social media post unveiling the latest poster, the duo expressed, “Some bonds are imprinted in our lives that can never be diminished with time and distance. Queen Elizabeth boasts a stellar cast comprising Shweta Menon, Ramesh Pisharody, VK Prakash, Shyamaprasad, Johny Antony, Mallika Sukumaran, Jude Anthany Joseph, Arya, and Shruthi Rajanikanth. The film, shot by Jithu Damodar, features music composed by Ranjin Raj.
The film is being produced by M Padmakumar, Ranjith Manambarakkat, and Sreeram Manambarakkat. Meera Jasmine, who recently returned to the screen with Sathyan Anthikad’s Makal after a break, was last seen in Tamil cinema in Vingyani (2014) and in the Telugu film Moksha (2013). Additionally, she is currently involved in a Tamil-Telugu bilingual project titled Vimanam.
