As per the industry tracker Sacnilk, Tiger 3 earned Rs 13.44 crore in India on Friday (November 17). With this, the film has now entered Rs 200 crore club in the country.
The team, comprising Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi, took part in a special success event where they discussed the film, shared entertaining stories and more. Salman, who shares a longstanding friendship with Katrina, recalled moments from back in the day, including one where she couldn’t recognise him in Salman’s debut film, Maine Pyar Kiya.
SALMAN RECALLS FUNNY INCIDENT: During the event, Salman Khan recounted a time when Katrina Kaif watched a film after a long break and found it incredibly funny. She called him to express how a particular actor in the film, with large eyes, was skillfully trying to mimic him perfectly. Salman agreed and appreciated the actor’s skill. He later revealed that the film causing all the laughter was “Maine Pyar Kiya,” in which he starred alongside Bhagyashree.
THE MAINE PYAAR KYUN KIYA CONNECTION: The actor also recounted a funny incident when he showed Katrina his 1994 cult film Andaz Apna Apna, and she initially watched it with a puzzled look. It took six years for her to burst into laughter after finally grasping Hindi. Another noteworthy moment stems from their initial collaboration in the film Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, where Salman’s character says to Katrina’s character, ‘Itni Badi ghodi (mare) ho gayi hai. Kuch samjh mein nahi aata.’ Four years later, after the film’s release, the actress jokingly complained about being referred to as a “ghodi.”
ABOUT TIGER 3: Tiger 3 marks the third film in Yash Raj Films’ OG spy franchise. It is directed by Maneesh Sharma. Besides Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif as Tiger and Zoya respectively, the film also stars Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist, along with Kumud Mishra, Revathi, Riddhi Dogra and Anant Vidhaat. Shah Rukh Khan also made an action-packed cameo in the movie. Tiger 3 was released in theatres on November 12.
