As per reports, the shooting of Maharani started on October 1, 2022, in Cherthala, Alappuzha district, Kerala.
Roshan Mathew, Shine Tom Chacko, and Balu Varghese starrer upcoming Malayalam film Maharani has been making headlines ever since it was announced. Moviegoers were eagerly waiting for the release date to be confirmed. According to the latest reports, the makers have confirmed the same.
Maharani is all set to hit theatres on November 24, 2023. The film is directed by G Marthandan and backed jointly by Badusha Productions and Sujith Balan under the banner of SB Films. Maharani is touted to be a delightful blend of comedy and entertainment. The cinematography of the movie is handled by Loganathan Srinivasan, while the editing is overseen by Noufal Abdullah.
The film also stars a huge cast, including Harisree Ashokan, Johnny Antony, Jaffer Idukki, Gokulan, Kailash, Aswath Lal, Appunni Sasi, Unni Lalu, Adil Ibrahim, Raghunath Paleri, Pramod Veliyanad, Nisha Sarangh, Sminu Sijo, Sruthy Jayan, Gowri Gopan, Priya Kottayam and Sandhya Manoj in the supporting roles.
As per reports, the makers started the shooting of Maharani on October 1, 2022, in Cherthala, Alappuzha district, Kerala. It is also said to be the first film in Kerala to be shot entirely on Sony Venice 2.
A few days back, the makers unveiled a captivating song from Maharani which received immense appreciation from the viewers. The song is titled Chathayadina Paatu. It featured a refreshing folk-style melody. The song’s video is presented in a lyrical format, providing a glimpse of the film’s main characters and storyline. The music for Chathayadina Paatu is composed by Govind Vasantha, with lyrics penned by Anwar Ali. The soulful vocals are rendered by Kapil Kapilan.
Earlier, the team of Maharani also dropped a second-look poster poster of the film, which featured a girl with a backpack facing a group of men. The girl’s face has not been revealed yet.
The film’s production team includes Sudharman Vallikunnu, Zakir Hussain, and Hiran. Ajay Chandrika and Pottayilkada, are the associate directors and were the essential part of the film creation. Jith Payyannur and Sameera Saneesh are in charge of the makeup and costumes respectively. Dinesh Master directs the stunt and dance performances, and Obscura Entertainments is in charge of digital marketing.
