Rashmika Mandanna fans are demanding action against her viral deepfake video.

Earlier, Rashmika Mandanna also reacted to the viral deepfake video and shared that she is ‘hurt’ by it.

Rashmika Mandanna’s deepfake video has grabbed everyone’s attention and left her industry colleagues and fans shocked. On Tuesday, several of the actress’ fans took to the microblogging site X (formerly known as Twitter) and expressed disappointment with the deepfake video. While some called it ‘disappointing’, others argued that such viral clips are a way to ‘defame’ the Pushpa actress.

“Yesterday was a very disturbing day for us. When we saw that #Deepfake video of our beloved #RashmikMandana, we did not feel as sad as we felt after seeing @iamRashmika’s tweet. We can’t see her sad. If she is sad then how can we be happy. After that we saw the support, Rashmika was getting and saw that a lot of people were supporting Rashmika,” one of Rashmika’s fan pages wrote.

Another user posted, “How much technology is being misused, stop defaming Rashmika Mandanna”. “Instead of making someone happy, people are taking advantage of it for Morphing Someone’s Video Photo, I feel Really Bad For @iamRashmika And whoever Suffered From this Trauma, This is Reply Need to Be Address,” a third user shared.

For the unversed, a morphed video of Rashmika Mandanna recently went viral on social media. In the clip, the woman with Rashmika’s face was seen getting into a lift, wearing a fitted outfit. The video instantly went viral and a few social media users came forward to clarify that the video had been deepfaked.

Later, Rashmika Mandanna also reacted to it and called it ‘scary’. “I feel really hurt to share this and have to talk about the deepfake video of me being spread online. Something like this is honestly, extremely scary not only for me, but also for each one of us who today is vulnerable to so much harm because of how technology is being misused. Today, as a woman and as an actor, I am thankful for my family, friends and well wishers who are my protection and support system. But if this happened to me when I was in school or college, I genuinely can’t imagine how could I ever tackle this. We need to address this as a community and with urgency before more of us are affected by such identity theft,” she wrote on her Instagram stories.
