Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are one of the most loved Bollywood couples who have been married for over a year now. While the former is promoting his upcoming movie Animal, in a recent interview, he opened up about how “relationships are hard” and revealed that Alia is “completely opposite” to him.
Ranbir was speaking to Unstoppable with NBK when he was asked about how a marriage between two popular actors works. To this, the 41-year-old actor explained, “We have been together for six years now. I think in the first year you understand how to handle each other’s personality. Relationships are hard. Human beings are very tough animals, very hard to understand. You have to understand the person. You have to have empathy for that person.”
Ranbir further explained that a successful marriage is all about “working together”. “Marriage is all about working, no? You have to keep working on your marriage, you have to keep trying. And that’s what makes a successful marriage,” he said.
When asked about being a “perfectionist”, Ranbir revealed that Alia is the “complete opposite” of him. “She comes out of the shower and her towel is left on the floor. I am always picking her towel and putting it in the basket. But I think that’s what makes a marriage work,” he shared.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt tied the knot in April 2022. The couple welcomed their first child, a baby girl, in November 2022.
Ranbir is currently busy promoting his upcoming movie Animal, the trailer of which was released on Thursday. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal also stars Rashmika Mandanna and marks their first film together. It also stars Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in key roles. Animal will hit theatres on December 1. This means that the film will clash at the box office with Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur.
