Ranbir Kapoor recently commented on the theme of his upcoming pan-India film Animal at the trailer launch event.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming film, Animal, has generated a lot of excitement for its release this year, creating a buzz since its announcement. Featuring a star-studded cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri, the film is set to hit theaters next month. Prior to its premiere, the Central Board of Film Certification has granted the film an ‘A’ certification. Now at the trailer launch of the film, Ranbir Kapoor has given a hint about the theme of the film and it has a connection with Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham.

The trailer was launched on Thursday, November 23, at a grand event in New Delhi. The trailer presents how Ranbir’s character’s attachment leads him on the path of becoming a gangster, eventually coming to face with his nemesis, played by Bobby Deol. It also reveals that Anil Kapoor will be playing Ranbir’s father in the movie. On the other hand, Rashmika Mandanna will be Ranbir’s love interest. Soon after the trailer was shared, the actors and makers addressed the media, where Ranbir Kapoor informed everyone, “This is an adult rated Khushi Kabhie Kabhi Gham.”

At the press meet, Ranbir Kapoor also shared that despite the intensity of his characters, he prefers to go back to his family as himself. Explaining the reason behind it, he stated, “I am a detached person. I never take my character home. It’s not fair for my loved ones. Agar main agar jaake aise act karta toh meri biwi mujhe maarti.”

Meanwhile, Himesh Mankad shared certification details about Animal through a post on X(formerly Twitter), “ANIMAL CERTIFIED A – ADULTS ONLY – BY CBFC – 3 HOURS 21 MINUTES! #RanbirKapoor is back as his first collaboration with #SandeepReddyVanga, #Animal, has been certified A by the censor board with an approved run time of 3 hours and 21 minutes,” it read.

The film directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga is in the crime drama genre and promises to take viewers on a thrilling ride on 1st December 2023.
