Rajinikanth Reveals Exciting Details About His Next Project with Lokesh Kanagaraj
Rajinikanth is soon going to be seen in the film Lal Salaam in a guest appearance.
Tentatively titled Thalaivar 171, Rajinikanth will start the project after finishing his next with T.J. Gnanavel.
Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, with his wife Latha, arrived at Chennai airport on their way to the Pethi Katu Kutu program in Coimbatore. During his journey, he was bombarded with questions from reporters about his upcoming projects.
When asked about his collaboration with director Lokesh Kanagaraj on Thalaivar 171, Rajinikanth clarified that it wouldn’t be his next release. He shared that currently, he is currently working on a film tentatively titled Thalaivar 170. The film, which is produced by Lyca Productions, will be released before this film.
Directed by T.J. Gnanavel, Thalaivar 170 stars Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, and Trisha Krishnan in the leading roles. The other cast of the film includes Fahadh Faasil, Arjun Sarja, Manju Warrier, Sharwanand, and Nani among others in pivotal roles.
Real-life incidents including fake encounters are said to be the inspiration behind the film Thalaivar 170. In the film, Rajinikanth is set to portray the role of a Muslim police officer. The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who is currently garnering immense praise for music in Jawan.
Not so long ago, the makers of the film confirmed that the film Thalaivar171 is going to be released next year. The production house Sun Pictures shared a post a few times ago. The caption of the post reads, “We are happy to announce Superstar Rajinikanth #Thalaivar171. Written & Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Music by Anirudh Ravichander and Action by Anbariv”.
Rajinikanth’s collaboration with Kanagaraj will also have stunts by the famous choreographer duo Anbu-Arivu. Further details about the movie will be revealed soon.
Lokesh Kanagaraj is known for films like Master, Kaithi, Vikram, and Maanagaram. The actor has a few films lined up including Vikram 2, Kaithi 2, Rolex Spin-Off, and Irumbu Kai Maayavi to name a few. Besides this, one of his upcoming films, Leo is scheduled for an October 19 release. It is supposed to be the third instalment of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU)
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is soon going to be seen in the film Lal Salaam. The film is written and directed by Aishwarya Dhanush.
