Paresh Rawal Compares Ranbir Kapoor And Alia Bhatt’s Acting Prowess With His Kids: Here’s How!

In a recent interview, Paresh Rawal discussed his upcoming film, ‘Hera Pheri 3’ and talked about nepotism in Bollywood, comparing Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt to his sons.

Paresh Rawal recently talked about his upcoming movies, Welcome to the Jungle and Hera Pheri 3, in an interview with Indian Express. Given how many people’s early years were influenced by the Welcome and Hera Pheri film franchises, there is a lot of excitement surrounding both films.

In a recent interview, Paresh Rawal discussed both films, admitting that Welcome to the Jungle would be a ‘jabardast’ film, while he is concerned about the release of Hera Pheri 3. describing the need for producers and filmmakers to adapt to the constantly shifting tastes of the audience. December 2023 will see the release of Welcome to the Jungle, and March–April 2024 will see the start of filming for Hera Pheri 3. He declared:

“Welcome to the Jungle is being made with a massive (budget) and a big star-cast. I feel the movie will turn out to be jabardast (fantastic). Whereas when it comes to Hera Pheri, it is such a big brand so one has to be cautious. You can’t take things for granted because we have to understand that however big a hit the film was, whatever its goodwill and fan following, times have changed now, people’s taste has changed, their aspirations have changed. So keeping that in mind we’ll start shooting for it in March- April 2024.”

In the same interview, Paresh Rawal also discussed his opinions on the contentious topic of nepotism in Bollywood. The seasoned actor described how the current generation of actors in the movie business is extremely diligent and called the debate over nepotism “bogus.” Citing Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt as examples, Paresh Rawal emphasised the actors’ skill. If his sons Aditya and Aniruddh Rawal had the same talent as Alia or Ranbir, the actor continued, he would have put all of his money into them. Paresh Rawal stated:

“I think nepotism is bogus. Mera beta agar Ranbir Kapoor ya Alia Bhatt jitna talented hota toh main uspe mera sab paisa laga deta. Why should I not? It is not a wrong thing. If a doctor’s child won’t become a doctor, then what, a barber? People who made a noise with the nepotism debate ask them why they accept their father’s inheritance so happily. Give it to your neighbour instead.”

Paresh Rawal also praised his sons Aditya and Aniruddh for making their own names for themselves in the film industry in the same interview. The actor claimed that his sons had not entered Bollywood using his name. The devoted father did, however, also add that he is there to mentor his sons at all times. However, the seasoned professional also makes sure to let his sons forge their own paths in the film business without consulting him. He declared:

“My sons make their own choices, until they make mistakes they will not learn. Only if they come to me and ask for it, I’ll advise him. If they don’t ask me, I don’t tell them anything. Let them find their own way. They are very hard working and very talented. They have not used my name to enter this world.”
