After Amitabh Bachchan, Naga Chaitanya came forward to show his support to Rashmika Mandanna after her deepfake video went viral.
Naga Chaitanya extended his support to Rashmika Mandanna after a deepfake video featuring the Pushpa star went viral. The Telugu star took to Twitter, now known as X, to show his support to Rashmika. The Custody star reposted Rashmika’s statement about the deepfake video and said that he is disheartened to see the misuse of technology and urged that some sort of a law could come in place to curb such incidents going forward.
“It’s truly disheartening to see how technology is being misused and the thought of what this can progress to in the future is even scarier. Action has to be taken and some kind of law has to be enforced to protect people who have and will be a victim to this .Strength to you,” he said.

Amitabh Bachchan also demanded legal action against those who created and circulated Rashmika’s deepfake video. Amitabh shared a post shared by a journalist reporting about the deepfake video. “There is an urgent need for a legal and regulatory framework to deal with deepfake in India. You might have seen this viral video of actress Rashmika Mandanna on Instagram. But wait, this is a deepfake video of Zara Patel,” the journalist wrote on X.
“From a deepfake POV, the viral video is perfect enough for ordinary social media users to fall for it. But if you watch the video carefully, you can see at (0:01) that when Rashmika (deepfake) was entering the lift, suddenly her face changes from the other girl to Rashmika,” he added.
Amitabh shared the post and wrote, “Yes this is a strong case for legal,” he said, showing his support to his Goodbye co-star. Rashmika reacted to the post a few hours later, confessing that she is hurt by the video. She expressed her gratitude towards Big B for bringing the video to everyone’s attention and supporting her.
