Social media users loved the teaser and one of them mentioned that had Dileep received these roles earlier, he would have been one of the topnotch stars now. Others also supported this opinion and lauded Dileep’s versatility as an artist.

Despite these accomplishments, Dileep had to suffer some setbacks in his life as well one of them being an actress who accused him of abducting and sexually assaulting her. In an exclusive interview with Manorama Online, the Sound Thoma actor said, “I have great respect for the actress for overcoming the incident but I am sad to note her silence on this matter. She’s active on social media, at least she could have cleared my name by putting up a post on Facebook. I couldn’t take the allegation. I even thought of ending my life. But it was the thought of my daughter, Meenakshi, that kept me away from committing suicide … forced me to live on”.
