Makers Of Malayalam Film Idiyan Chandhu Inaugurate Anti-Drug Team Chandhu Squad
The film is expected to release in 2024.
An anti-drug squad has been formed at the Mar Elias Higher Secondary School, where the shooting of the film is taking place.
Vishnu Unnikrishnan is currently busy shooting for Idiyan Chandhu. Recent reports reveal the establishment of an anti-drug squad at the Mar Elias Higher Secondary School, the team is currently shooting for the film. This anti-drug unit has been aptly named the Chandhu Squad and was officially introduced at the school in collaboration with state-level authorities.
The inauguration of the Chandhu Squad was a joint effort involving the film’s crew and school authorities. The squad’s objective is to extend its presence to schools throughout the state, drawing inspiration from the film Idiyan Chandhu, which delves into the critical issue of drug abuse and addiction. Notably, key members of the film’s crew, including the director, actors, and choreographers, were in attendance at the event.
Idiyan Chandhu is being written and directed by Sreejith Vijayan and boasts a star-studded cast featuring Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Salim Kumar, Chandu Salim Kumar, Ramesh Pisharody, Lalu Alex, Johnny Antony, Lena, Jayashree, Binu Sopanam, Sminu Siju, Vidya Vijayakumar, Sooraj Thelakkad, and Salim.
The film is produced by Shafiq, Subair, Raees, Vishnu Unnikrishnan, and Sreejith Vijayan, under the banner of Happy Productions. Minshad Sara and Aravind R Warrier are responsible for the film’s music. The production controller is Paulose Karumattam, with Binu AS serving as the associate writer, and Hiran Mahajan as the executive producer.
The renowned choreographer Peter Hein is also lending his expertise to the film’s production. The technical crew comprises Vignesh Vasi as the cinematographer and V Sajan as the editor. Rafi Kannadiparambu and Dileep Nath are responsible for the project and production design, respectively.
Recently, the film’s creators unveiled the first-look poster, featuring Vishnu Unnikrishnan bound to a green board in a classroom. The actor himself shared the poster on his official Instagram account, accompanied by the caption, “My Next IDIYAN CHANDHU.”
Idiyan Chandhu is anticipated to hit the big screen in 2024.
