Madgaon Express Box Office Collection Day 4: Closes In On 10 Crores After Holi!
After its four day extended weekend, Madgaon Express has closed in at 10 crores total. Its exact total stands at 9.88 crores, and it fell short of just a few lakhs when it came to scoring a double-digit weekend. That should be taken care of, though if the weekdays stay on to be stable from here.
Considering the kind of start that it took when 1.63 crores came on the first day, the film did grow well on Saturday, with 2.72 crores coming in. The growth on Sunday was muted, though, with 2.81 crores being scored; on Monday, it did better because, despite the partial holiday of Holi when shows begin only after 2-3 PM, it still did well enough to gather the same number as Saturday, 2.72 crores. That shows that there is something in the movie that is attracting audiences towards it, and though it hasn’t really taken off in a big way, it hasn’t been below the mark either and, hence, is at least fighting it off.
Today, the film is available for the flat ticket price of Rs. 150/- with some conditions coming into play, and that should help the collections to some extent. Also, the post-Holi advantage is also there in certain areas for a day or two. Anything over the 2 crores mark would be a good score for the film today, and at the bare minimum, it would be looking at 1.50 crores to be scored. It won’t be easy, but if it manages to do that, then Madgaon Express can expect the rest of the weekdays to be stable, too.
