Leo: Thalapathy Vijay Film Gets 13 Changes; Censor Board Orders Lokesh To Mute Abuses, Reduce Gore

Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo has been certified U/A by the Censor Board. The film has been ordered 13 changes.

Leo Censor Report: Thalapathy Vijay’s film Leo has been ceritified by the Censor Board but not without a few changes. The film is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and it is a part of his ‘Lokesh Cinematic Universe’. Slated to release on October 19, Leo has been certified U/A by the Central Board of Film Certification. The Board has reportedly also ordered 13 changes to the film, including muting swear words used in the film.

The Censor Certificate of Leo has been going viral on X (previously known as Twitter) and it shows the 13 changes that the CBFC has asked Lokesh Kanagaraj to make. Besides ordering the team to mute the swear words, the board has also asked the team to make ammends to the gore scenes in the film. Following the changes and cuts, Leo will have a run time of 164 minutes (2 hours 44 minutes).

Leo is an action thriller which also stars Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Mysskin and Priya Anand in pivotal roles. The film also features Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. Rathna Kumar and Deeraj Vaidy co-wrote the script with Lokesh Kanagaraj. The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and its cinematography and editing have been handled by Manoj Paramahamsa and Philomin Raj, respectively.

The trailer of Leo was released last week and it had everyone talking. The trailer revealed the film revolves around a ‘mild-mannered’ cafe owner who becomes a local hero through an act of violence. However, he soon starts to face repercussions in connection to his past life. Not only do we see Vijay’s past life haunting him in the movie, but we also see a vicious Sanjay Dutt as the villain.

The trailer also features Trisha, who is reuniting with Vijay after almost two decades, and Gautam Vasudev Menon playing the cop. If the trailer is go by, Lokesh and Vijay are ready to set the box office on fire.
