The Queen of Tears star Kim Soo Hyun delighted fans by sharing a photo of himself with Lee Ji Eun aka IU, during her world tour.
Kim Soo Hyun is currently impressing the audience with his performance in the series Queen of Tears, where he shares the screen with Kim Ji Won. Recently, the actor delighted fans by sharing a photo of himself with Lee Ji Eun aka IU, who had just completed the Seoul leg of HER world tour. The Instagram post features the two South Korean stars posing together at IU’s concert, with their hands on their cheeks. This sweet reunion left fans nostalgic, as both artists rose to fame with their roles in Dream High and Producer. Earlier reports revealed that Kim Soo Hyun attended IU’s concert and even requested her to sing The Story Only I Didn’t Know from the audience.
Interestingly, he attended the concert on the same day his comeback drama, Queen of Tears, was on air. Meanwhile, IU is known for her unpredictable social media posts and fans are now speculating that the singer might share another unique picture with Kim Soo Hyun. Currently, fans can’t stop showering love on the charming image shared by the It’s Okay to Not Be Okay star. The photo captures them in an adorable pose and the actor simply tagged IU without any caption.
As of now, Queen of Tears has been getting a lot of attention, especially the main actors, Kim Ji Won and Kim Soo Hyun, who are receiving positive responses. Fans are amazed by their acting skills and the natural bond they share on screen, making them believe that the roles of Hong Hae In and Baek Hyun Woo were made just for them. However, the truth is, that only Kim Soo Hyun was originally chosen for his role, while the role of the female lead was meant for someone else. According to the Preview, the makers had initially thought of casting IU for the female lead role, but for some unspecified reason, Lee Ji Eun turned down the offer.
If IU had accepted the role in Queen of Tears, it would have marked the fourth onscreen collaboration between the two artists. They previously worked together in K-dramas such as Dream High in 2011, The Producers in 2015 and Hotel Del Luna in 2019, where Kim Soo Hyun made a cameo appearance in the finale episode.
While Kim Soo Hyun is in the spotlight for his role in Queen of Tears alongside Kim Ji Won, IU is gearing up to continue the 2024 HER world tour. The concert is set to kick off in Yokohama, Japan, before making stops in Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia and finally, the United States.
