Khushi Kapoor Opens Up About Her Character Betty In The Archies: ‘I think I identified With Certain Parts…’

Boney Kapoor and Sridevi’s younger daughter Khushi Kapoor is all set to make her acting debut with The Archies. The film, which will be released on the digital platform, has already created a lot of buzz among the audience. The makers have everyone them with the trailer which was also released recently. Well, NDTV recently reported Khushi Kapoor opening up about her character Betty in the film. She said that there’s a lot about her character.
As mentioned by NDTV, Khushi said, “I think we were cast because (there) was so much of us that we have in our characters and there’s a lot about Betty that I see in myself as well and I think I found that out the more I played her. I think she’s very sweet and empathetic, but I think she’s also sensitive sometimes and she is really caring but I think sometimes she can tend to put other people’s needs ahead of her…so I think I identified with certain parts of her a lot like the more I played.”
The young debutant revealed that a lot of people on the sets gave her the same advice, which turned out to be useful for her. “I think as cliche as it sounds, the best advice I got was to just have fun and I think everyone on set at some point has told me this because I tend to get in my own head a lot… I get nervous sometimes, but I think just being told to relax and have fun.”
Speaking about the teen drama, director Zoya Akhtar had earlier shared, “I am super excited to have the chance to bring The Archies to life. It was a large part of my childhood and teenage years. The characters are iconic and globally loved, which is also why I am a little nervous.”
The Archies marks the debut of Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana, Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda.The Archies also stars Aditi Saigal (known by her stage name Dot), Vedang Raina, Yuvraj Menda, and Mihir Ahuja. The film is adapted from the globally famous Archie Comics.
