During the teaser launch of Sam Bahadur, Bollywood actor, Vicky Kaushal opened about his charge and duty of donning the Indian Army uniform and playing the role of Sam Manekshaw. Elaborating about the same, the actor stated:
“When you get directors like Meghna Gulzar, she doesn’t just let you stop at getting into the skin of the character but makes you meet the soul of the character.”
Talking more about the heard narratives of Field Marshal Manekshaw from his parents, the actor mentioned that he feels grateful to play his role. Vicky felt fortunate to play and witness the anecdotes from his eyes in the film. The actor added,
“Really looking forward to the film. I hope I have justified the legend.”
