Kamal Haasan To Start Shoot For 2nd Schedule Of Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life In Russia: Report

The shoot schedule in Russia will also involve actors Dulquer Salmaan, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, and Gautham Karthik reportedly.
Kamal Haasan’s much-awaited Thug Life has been making enough noise, ever since it was announced. After Ponniyan Selvan: Part 1 and 2, Mani Ratnam is all set to spread his magic once again with this upcoming film. If the media reports are to be believed, the film is progressing at a rapid pace and its first schedule, involving actors Kamal Haasan, Joju George and Abhirami has already been completed. As per the recent updates, the second schedule of the film will soon go on floors in Siberia in Russia, where Kamal Haasan will reach immediately after shooting for Indian 2. He jetted off to the USA on January 31, 2024, to resume work on Shankar-directorial Indian 2. Next, he will reportedly leave for Russia to shoot for the second schedule of the film Thug life. Currently, the team of Mani Ratnam’s film is on a short break. After the break, the shoot will resume in Russia which involves actors Dulquer Salmaan, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, and Gautham Karthik.
Speculations are rife that Thug Life will be featuring multiple stories that will essentially form the plot of the movie. Additionally, Kamal Haasan is expected to flaunt a bearded look throughout the movie. Thug Life will mark the second collaboration between the Vikram actor and Mani Ratnam. Their last outing together was the iconic Tamil gangster drama Nayakan.
Apart from Kamal Haasan, the intriguing cast of the film will be featuring Dulquer Salmaan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Jayam Ravi, Joju George, Nassar, Gautam Karthik and many others in the lead role. The music of the film has been composed by AR Rahman.
Kamal Haasan was last seen in Lokesh Kanagaraj-directorial Vikram. For 2024, he has some massive projects lined up in his kitty. From the sequel of his 1996 blockbuster Indian, titled Indian 2 to the Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD, the actor seems to have saved his best for the year. Indian 2 is expected to hit the theatres in 2024. Besides, the actor will also be seen doing an out-and-out action film with the fight master duo Anbariv.
