South actor Jayam Ravi’s fans are awaiting the release of his upcoming film, Genie. The film’s first look was released this Sunday. The poster was released by the actor and the film’s team. The first look gave a hint of what it promises to the audience. “First look of #Genie. A movie which is unique and close to my heart. Get ready for the magical experience,” wrote Jayam, while sharing the poster on X. In the poster, Jayam Ravi can be seen dressed in the avatar of a genie. He is donning long hair tied in a bun. He can be seen emerging out of a magic lamp by breaking free from chains and shackles around him.
Genie’s poster also shows miscellaneous items like cupcakes, money and gold, all these things around Jayam Ravi. This denotes he might play a wish-granting genie, who is up for an adventure. Jayam Ravi can be seen smiling in the photo, while flaunting his biceps.
According to reports, the film’s shooting is 75 percent complete. Three more songs’ shoot are reportedly pending. Reports further state that planning is being done to complete the film’s shoot in another 10 days.
Jayam Ravi recently made news after reports that he opted out of Kamal Haasan-starrer Thug Life went viral. As per a report by OTT Play, due to scheduling conflicts, Jayam Ravi might not be able to continue shooting for the film, and thereby decided to opt out of it. Earlier reports also suggested that actor Dulquer Salmaan is no longer a part of Thug Life. The reason reportedly is his hectic schedule. It is said that both these actors have tight schedules, which led them to opt out of Thug Life. Jayam Ravi has not given any official statement regarding this yet.
