‘Japan Is Family Friendly’: Producer SR Prabhu On The Karthi-starrer Ahead Of Release

Producer SR Prabhu met the media recently, and has officially announced October 28 as the date of the audio launch.
Karthi, the renowned actor in the Indian film industry, is gearing up for the highly anticipated Telugu and Tamil release of his upcoming film Japan. This comes on the heels of his recent string of back-to-back hits, including Ponniyin Selvan and Ponniyin Selvan 2, as well as Sardar.
Japan is a heist comedy film directed and written by Raju Murugan, inspired by true events, and features the talented actress Anu Emmanuel in a leading role. The recently released trailer for the film has generated significant buzz, with its promos resonating strongly with the audience. Japan, under the direction of Rajmurugan, is set to hit theatres on November 10, coinciding with the festive occasion of Diwali.
Producer SR Prabhu recently interacted with the media and officially announced the grand music release event scheduled for October 28. The event will also feature a musical performance by GV Prakash Kumar. He further revealed that they have invited numerous esteemed personalities as special guests, including filmmakers and actors who have previously collaborated with Karthi.
In light of the recent reports regarding the lack of proper permissions for the audio launch event of the film Leo, the media inquired whether there were similar issues with the audio launch in Japan. In response, SR Prabhu assured that they had encountered no such problems and had received the necessary permissions for the event. He emphasized that fans would be provided with tickets to attend. Apart from that, the police will oversee the security arrangements.
SR Prabhu also reassured that Japan is a family-friendly film, devoid of any content that might raise concerns among family audiences. He addressed other pertinent issues, including the controversy surrounding the script of Leo and concerns about ticket prices. He characterized the dispute regarding the script of Leo as a matter of artistic freedom while emphasizing the importance of exercising caution and social responsibility. SR Prabhu has been advocating for greater flexibility in setting ticket prices in theatres. In response to questions, he emphasized that determining the appropriate ticket price should take into account the film’s demand and reception.
