Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, the film has garnered attention for its star-studded cast, including Vikram, Ritu Varma, Simran, and Radhika Sarathkumar. The film, which will be released in Tamil and Telugu, is produced by Escape Artists Motion Pictures, Kondaduvom Entertainment, and Ondraga Entertainment.
Filmmaker N Linguswamy, who had the opportunity to preview the final cut of the film, expressed his admiration for Dhruva Natchathiram on social media. Linguswamy particularly praised actor Vinayakan’s performance, describing it as a standout element in the movie. In a tweet, he said, “Happened to see the final cut of #DhruvaNatchathiram in Mumbai, and it was just fantastic. Well made, visuals are on par with the best. @chiyaan was so cool & #vinayakan stole everything in the movie. Huge cast & everyone was brilliant.”

Originally, actor Suriya was slated to play the lead role in the film. However, he opted out of the project, citing a lack of a proper script. In an interview, Gautham Vasudev Menon, the director, explained that Suriya questioned the authenticity of the plot, stating that it needed to be more realistic. Now, Vikram has taken on the lead role, following his success in the Mani Ratnam-directed Ponniyin Selvan franchise.
