Fighter Box Office Collection Day 17: Hrithik Roshan & Deepika Padukone’s Film Jumps Well On 3rd Saturday!
As expected, Fighter took a good jump all over again on Saturday. This was the trend seen last weekend as well, and hence, it was not surprising when this happened this weekend. It’s just that last week, the collections had moved up from 6 crores to 11 crores, so even in absolute terms, the number was good. This time, the jump has been from much lower levels [1.75 crores], and hence, even though the percentage of the jump is good, the quantum is ordinary as the collections came to 3 crores*. If the jump would have been from around 3 crores on Friday to at least 5 crores on Saturday then the trending would have been good.
Fighter will now have stable collections on Sunday since this one is primarily for the multiplexes, and since this is the third week running, one can’t expect another major jump today. Again, this was the trend in the first and the second weekend as well, and things won’t change now in the third weekend. Moreover, there is Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya running as well, and that film is now the first choice of the audiences at the multiplexes, and that too by a distance.
The Hrithik Roshan starrer has now reached 194.75 crores and had the collections been close to 196 crores already, and then the film could well have entered the 200 Crore Club by today itself. However, now it will happen on Monday or Tuesday.
