Drama Juniors 5: Actress Ambika Brings Retro Vibe With Performance On This 1984 Song

Popular South actress Ambika has not made an appearance in any Kannada movies since 2019. Her last Kannada movie was Kalidasa Kannada Meshtru. Directed by Kaviraj, the film starred Jaggesh and Meghana Gaonkar in the lead role. Ambika played the role of a principal in the movie. The actress is now making a comeback in the Kannada entertainment industry with her appearance in the ongoing acting reality show, Drama Juniors, Season 5. It is a talent show where children showcase their acting skills and impress the judges through various skits. Several celebrity guests also attend the show to encourage the kids. Now, as per the latest promo, actress Ambika is seen gracing the show with her presence as the celebrity guest for the upcoming episode. It will be aired today, February 14 on Zee Kannada channel.
In the latest promo, Ambika and Ravichandran were seen together on the judging panel. During one of the segments, the children performed a special from the duo’s superhit movie Naane Raja. Released in 1984, the film was directed by CV Rajendran and starred Ambika, Ravichandran, Jai Jagdish and Ambareesh in the lead roles. After watching the kids’ performance, the host, Anand requested the couple to perform on one of the songs of the movie. The duo performed the superhit song Aasegalu Kenakuthalide. Initially, the actress hesitates to dance with the actor Ravichandran but later agrees to produce a nostalgic moment for her fans. The couple looked adorable while dancing together.
Actress Ambika started her career as a child artist in the Malayalam film Chottanikkara Amma in 1976. She later starred as the lead heroine in the movie Samayamaayilla Polum in 1978. It was later directed by UP Tomy. Her first lead role in Kannada cinema came with the movie Garuda Rekhe in 1982. It was directed by KS Prakash. Ambika was one of the leading heroines in Malayalam cinema. In 1986, she starred opposite Mohanlal in the movie Rajavinte Makan. As per media reports, the actress was paid more than Mohanlal for that movie. The duo were seen again in the movie Irupatham Noottandu.
