Priyanka Chopra confirmed for Don 3?
As per a recent report, the makers of upcoming Ranveer Singh’s Don 3 has been in talks with Priyanka Chopra for a prominent role.
Shah Rukh Khan fans were left shocked and heartbroken last month when it was announced that Ranveer Singh will be replacing him in Don 3. Over a month later, Farhan Akhtar had clarified that he and SRK parted ways mutually for the best. Akhtar directed the first two movies in the Don franchise. While it’s still unclear who will be the leading lady in the revamped franchise, a report has surfaced claiming that Priyanka Chopra might be in talks with the makers for a prominent role in the film.
As per a source close to Hindustan Times, the makers have approached PC since the actress was recently in town to figure out her next Bollywood commitment. The source told the portal, “The team of Don 3 has indeed approached Priyanka Chopra to revisit her character. In fact, the first few meetings also took place when Priyanka came to India recently for another professional commitment. She used her time in India to align the talks and figure out her next project in the Hindi film industry.”
The source added, “Priyanka has a very close bond with Farhan, and is trying to make it work and checking her schedule. Her return might also become a reality as Shah Rukh is no longer associated with the project. Since Jee Lee Zara could not happen for Priyanka and Farhan, both the teams are trying to make Don 3 work. Priyanka enjoys working with Farhan, and has shown her interest. If things fall in place, it will be a reunion of the Dil Dhadakne Do gang, and that’s something to look out for. Farhan is ready to get going with Don 3 with Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra. All he is waiting for is a green signal from Priyanka’s end.”
Priyanka’s portrayal of Roma in Shah Rukh Khan’s Don and Don 2 was greatly appreciated by fans. Her fiery chemistry with Shah Rukh on-screen was a significant factor contributing to the films’ success. While Shah Rukh will not be seen as Don anymore, fans are excited to watch Priyanka return to the franchise.
As for Ranveer and Priyanka, they have starred together in films like Bajirao Mastani and Dil Dhadakne Do. The audience loves to watch the two actors together on screen. However, this news is receiving a mixed reaction online.
