Yes, you have guessed it right. It is none other than the Family Man actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu who is featured in this advertisement for Doordarshan. This old commercial doing the rounds on the internet has taken users on a nostalgic ride.
While many of them are baffled by the transformation, most have criticised the actresses for taking such measures.
“That’s why I feel bad when impressionable people criticise their own bodies and say they want to look like celebrities. Sam doesn’t even look like Sam. It’s okay that she wanted to look different to make crores off her cosmetic investment, but people need to know nobody was born or wakes up looking like onscreen actors,” read a comment.
Hilariously, one comment commended the plastic surgeons in the south and asked the Bollywood actresses to hire them if they need to do surgeries.
“No doubt these South actresses have the best cosmetic surgeon under their kitty. look at Nayantara and Samantha. they have gone through these cosmetic surgeries yet it looks natural. The Bolly divas could never- I mean look at Jahnvi or Nysa or anyone for that matter. always so extra and fake.”
Samantha’s contemporary, Nayanthara, before this, has also been a subject of discussion after her old photos had gone viral showcasing how different the Jawan actress looked during the initial days of her acting.
Amid these discussions, Samantha is enjoying her break after her latest release Kushi, with Vijay Devarakonda that released last month. The actress is gearing up for her next Hindi web series Citadel India, alongside Varun Dhawan.
