Bramayugam Box Office Collection Day 1: Audience Gives Thumbs Up; Mammootty’s Film Gets Great Opening
The Malayalam film Bramayugam, starring superstar Mammootty, has hit theatres on February 15, 2024. The movie, directed by Rahul Sadasivan, earned good moolah on its first day of release. Read on!
Starring other popular actors Arjun Ashokan, and Sidharth Bharathan in key roles, the film has garnered critical appreciation since its release, which is expected to boost its collections over the weekend. It is noteworthy that Bramayugam has only been released in Malayalam language.
On its 1st Day (Friday), Bramayugam collected 3.10 crore net at the Indian Box Office. As per insights by trade portal Sacknilk, on Thursday, the movie recorded an overall occupancy rate of 46.52% in Malayalam cinemas. The film’s occupancy during morning shows was 41.44%, followed by afternoon shows at 33.89%. There was a significant jump in the evening shows, with an occupancy rate of 46.46%, which further increased to 64.27% during the night shows. Bengaluru had the highest number of screenings with 158 shows, followed by Kochi with 128 shows and Trivandrum with 115 shows.

Bramayugam’s collections compared to Mammootty’s last two films
Comparing Bramayugam’s collections to Mammootty’s recent films, Malaikottai Vaaliban (released on 25th Jan) had worldwide collections of 29.75 crore, of which it collected 14 crore net in India. Before that, Mammootty’s critically acclaimed film Kaathal-The Core, which was considered one of the best Indian films of 2023, earned 1.05 crore on its opening day and eventually made 10.87 crore during its theatrical run. Similarly, Kannur Squad, which was also released in 2023, opened at 2.2 crore. Like Bramayugam, both Kaathal-The Core and Kannur Squad were released only in the Malayalam language.
It is to be seen how Bramayugam will fare further at the Box Office.
