Keep reading to know more!
What is Koimoi Star Ranking?
For the unversed, in Koimoi’s Star Power Index, aka Star Ranking, actors are allotted points based on their films (Bollywood/Hindi) in the coveted box office clubs like 100 crore club, 200 crore club, and many more. For example, 100 points are given for a film in the 100 crore club, and so on. 50 points each is given for a film in the top 10 overseas grossers.
Salman Khan’s current status in Star Ranking
As of now, Salman Khan is sitting right at the top with a tally of 2750 points. Bhaijaan has been ruling Star Ranking for so many years now, which speaks volumes about his dominance at the Indian box office. Definitely, he’s not enjoying the best time in his career, but still, even his underperforming films are earning more than the successful films of some big Bollywood stars.

Akshay Kumar & Ajay Devgn won’t be able to surpass Salman?
While Shah Rukh Khan won’t appear on the big screen this year, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn have a strong lineup of several upcoming films ready. Both these veteran stars have not one or two but multiple films scheduled for confirmed release this year.
Speaking about Akshay Kumar, he has Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Sarfira, Skyforce, and Welcome To The Jungle, which are releasing this year. We’re not underestimating any film, but being conservative about predictions, these four releases are expected to add 600-700 points to Akshay’s tally, thus pushing his total to 2500-2600 points.
In the case of Ajay Devgn, he has his Maidaan, Singham Again, Raid 2, and Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, releasing this year. Again, keeping our expectations practical, these four films are expected to benefit Ajay by adding 600 points. It would take his total to 2200 points.
So, as we can see, despite multiple releases, Akshay Kumar might stay behind Salman Khan by 250 or 150 points. Ajay might remain behind Salman by a big margin of 550 points.
It’s a clear domination of Salman Khan!
