Karan Johar confessed that he should have apologised to Anushka, as he could have been the reason to end her career even before it started. Karan added that he felt bad for judging Anushka on the basis of one picture.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi was a huge hit, and the audience loved the on-screen pairing of Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. Later, she achieved stardom and worked in several big-budget films. She also worked opposite SRK in other films like Zero in 2018, Jab Tak Hai Jaan in 2012, and Jab Harry Met Sejal in 2017. In fact, Karan Johar himself cast Anushka Sharma in his film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, opposite Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, in 2016.

Anushka Sharma was last seen in a cameo in Qala in 2022, where she played the character of Devika.

Shah Rukh Khan’s recent film Jawan was released on September 7, 2023, and is running successfully at the box office. The audience is showering love in the film. Jawan is said to be his entry into the South African film industry.
