Billie Eilish has revealed the dream she had years ago that convinced her she needed to break up with her boyfriend at the time. Interestingly, it also involved actor Christian Bale.
Billie Eilish has become a global sensation, with some famous tracks captivating her fans for years now. While not much is known about the popular American singer-songwriter’s private life, she recently revealed an intriguing detail about one of her past relationships. Billie Eilish has revealed the dream she had years ago that convinced her she needed to break up with her boyfriend at the time. Interestingly, it also involved actor Christian Bale.
The Grammy-winning singer and her brother Finneas O’Connell were conversing with Amelia Dimoldenberg when Billie Eilish revealed this remarkable dream. During this interview, the host asked if the duo wrote their 2016 hit song Ocean Eyes about Cillian Murphy, they both jokingly agreed that they “probably” did. Finneas O’Connell added that he was a huge fan of Cillian’s eyes in Dunkirk.
Billie Eilish added, “Batman is the one though.” Amelia Dimoldenberg then asked if that was her favourite superhero. However, the singer revealed that she does not know much about superheroes, but she liked 2008’s The Dark Knight, which starred Christian Bale. Billie Eilish then revealed, “A couple years ago I had a dream about Christian Bale and it was at a little cafe in the sunlight, and it made me realize that I had to break up with my boyfriend at the time.” The story made Finneas O’Connell laugh out loud while the host was left shocked. The singer added, “No, like genuinely. I woke up and I came to my senses.” She stated that she decided that it was over with the partner then.
Billie Eilish did not specify which partner she was referring to here. She was most recently linked to The Neighbourhood’s lead vocalist, Jesse Rutherford, although the relationship reportedly ended last year. She also dated actor Matthew Tyler Vorce for almost a year before they split up in 2022.
Billie Eilish and Fenneas O’Connell have been nominated for best original song at the 96th Academy Awards for “What Was I Made For?” from the Barbie soundtrack. They’re also scheduled to perform at the ceremony on March 10. The singer received a Golden Globe nomination for the same song and won. Billie Eilish accepted her award alongside her brother and collaborator, Finneas O’Connell, and discussed how essential the song, which explores the challenges of girlhood, was to her own life.
