The show has completed six successful seasons and is all set for its seventh season on Vijay TV. Due to COVID-19, the last season of last year began in October and ended in January. However, the upcoming season is expected to go on air in August.

The Bigg Boss Season 6 trophy was won by Azeem, who got the most votes among all the contestants. The second and third positions were won by Vikraman and Shivin Ganeshan, respectively.
Meanwhile, the host of the show, Kamal Haasan, is shooting for his upcoming film, Indian 2. The film is helmed by S Shankar and is a sequel to the 1996 film, Indian. He will be seen reprising his popular role as Senapathy in the film. He will also be seen in Mani Ratnam’s next, which is tentatively titled #KM234.
