Malayalam movie Garudan, starring Suresh Gopi and Biju Menon in prominent roles, is set for a theatrical release in early November. Garudan has been produced by Lisitan Stephen’s Magic Frames. The film has finished its post-production work. The legal thriller has wrapped up its filming in both Kochi and Hyderabad. Garudan boasts of an extensive ensemble cast including notable actors like Siddique, Dileesh Pothan, Jagadish, Abhirami, Divya Pillai, Thalaivasal Vijay, Arjun Nandakumar, Major Ravi, Balaji Sharma, Santhosh Keeshatoor, Ranjith Kangol, Jace Jose, Malavika, Josukutty, and Chaitanya Prakash.
Suresh Gopi, the renowned actor-turned-politician, has successfully finished dubbing his parts for the movie. He shared this news on his social media platform, where he posted some pictures alongside the film’s crew, confirming the completion of his dubbing work. Now, Garudan’s team has unveiled a behind-the-scenes clip from the sets. In the video, the crew and cast can be seen shedding their sweat and blood to give life to this power-packed film.
In an interview with Kochi Times, the film’s director Arun Varma provided insights into the film’s plot, explaining, “Although it incorporates some courtroom aspects initially, Garudan primarily falls into the thriller genre. The title draws a parallel to the keen vision of a bird, allowing it to detect its prey from a distance. Additionally, there’s a type of eagle that sheds its claws and beaks at a certain stage, goes into hibernation, and then rejuvenates. This concept plays a significant role in the journeys of the characters in the film, hence the title.”
The anticipation for Garudan is high, largely because it marks the reunion of Suresh Gopi and Biju Menon after some time. Their previous collaborations including Kaliyattam, FIR, Pathram, and Randaam Bhavam have produced remarkable results. Their on-screen chemistry has consistently delivered successful results in the past, making their reunion a major highlight of Garudan. Movie enthusiasts are awaiting the film, eager to see the magic these two talented actors will once again bring to the screen.
