Arun Vijay’s Mission: Chapter 1 To Release On This OTT Platform: Reports

Arun Vijay-starrer Mission: Chapter 1 is set to release on OTT soon. The action film had its theatrical release on the occasion of Sankranthi. It was released along with high-budgeted films like Captain Miller, and Ayalaan. Since the theatres were packed with these releases, Mission: Chapter 1 got a lesser number of theatres for its release. However, after the film garnered positive reviews from the audience, and started getting more recognition, more screens were added in the following weeks, where the film was screened.
Now, as per reports, the film is set to stream on Netflix from February 16. The producers declared the film a success after 25 days of its theatrical run. It is expected to do well on the OTT platform as no big Tamil release is scheduled for the next week.
Mission: Chapter 1 is made under the direction of AL Vijay. The cast of the film includes Arun Vijay, Amy Jackson, Nimisha Sajayan, Abi Hasan, Bharat Bopana and others. It is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, M Rajashekar, S Swathi, Surya Vamsi Prasad Kotha and Jeevan Kotha, under the banners of Lyca Productions, Shri Shirdi Sai Movies, New March Fast Pictures and Aspen Film Productions (P) Ltd. The music in the film is composed by GV Prakash Kumar, while the cinematographer is Sandeep K Vijay, and Anthony is the editor. It was released on January 12, during Sankranthi. This film marked Amy Jackson’s return to films after a gap of five years.
In an earlier interview, the lead of the film Arun Vijay revealed that he wanted to work with director AL Vijay for a long time, doing films like Deiva Thirumagal and Madrasapattinam. Talking about his character, the actor mentioned that there is a “surprise element” in his character, and hoped the audience likes it. He added, “Mission: Chapter 1 has a good mix of Vijay’s emotions and my action,” a film sure to be a perfect entertainer, according to him.
