Article 370 Box Office Collection Day 8: Second Friday Is Bigger Than Thursday!

Article 370 is continuing to be on the right path. If the weekdays were quite good already, with collections staying over the 3 crore mark right through, what’s all the more notable is that second Friday collections have turned out to be more than Thursday’s. If Thursday’s collections stood at 3.07 crores, then Friday’s has seen a bit of an increment ahead with 3.12 crores coming in.

This is actually on expected lines as well since even though over half a dozen new films have arrived this week, the only one with some sort of release has been Laapataa Ladies, and that, too, is primarily a word-of-mouth film.

As a result, at least on Friday, there was never going to be any competition, and Article 370 has made the most of this situation by staying above the 3 crore mark. This one is a well-set film in any case, which means it will now keep growing quite rapidly for the rest of the weekend.

At the very least, the Yami Gautam starrer will now top the 4.50 crores mark today with an outside chance of hitting 5 crores as well. That should happen tomorrow, though, which means around 10 crores more should be added to the film’s total, which currently stands at 41.94 crores. At the very least, the film will comfortably score a half-century by the time the second weekend is through.
