Article 370 Box Office Collection Day 17: Enjoys A Solid 3rd Sunday!
Despite the fact that Shaitaan is doing really good business at the box office and has already scored a solid half-century in its very first weekend, holdover release Article 370 is not giving up. It is finding its own audiences, especially the multiplexes, and this is what has ensured that the collections are still reading in crores.
On Sunday, Article 370 saw further growth in collections over Saturday and, in the process, brought in 2.50 crores* more. This is good indeed because this was the 17th day in the running for the film, and continuing to gather these kinds of numbers is indeed impressive. What has to be seen is whether Article 370 manages to keep its head over the 1 crore mark during the weekdays as well. Last week, the film went quite well on weekdays, but there was hardly any competition for it.
This week, though, there is competition from Shaitaan, which is doing well at multiplexes and single screens. As a result, Article 370 won’t have a clean run for itself where it can just continue to consolidate. Still, at the very least, the film will maintain numbers in the 75 lakhs range on a daily basis, which means numbers in the vicinity of 3 crores would eventually get added to the total so far, which reads 68.46 crores*. The Yami Gautam starrer will eventually find itself in that 75-80 crores range, and that would be a wonderful lifetime total for the film.
