Shah Rukh Khan became the first Indian male actor to attend the Met Gala, one of the most glamorous nights in the world of fashion. Dressed in a stylish black suit designed by Sabyasachi, with bold jewellery to match, SRK looked every bit a global icon he is. Photos and videos of his look have taken over social media and fans are going wild over his appearance. Many called it a proud moment. One of the noteworthy reactions came from Amul India. The dairy brand is known for its quirky takes on trending moments and this one was no different.

On Instagram, Amul shared an illustration of Shah Rukh Khan’s Met Gala look. In true Amul style, he is seen holding a slice of buttered toast in one hand and the stylish cane he carried that night in the other.

The text read, “India’s biggest Galakaar,” and added, “Always in fashion.”

Amul also shared a caption with the post that read, “#Amul Topical: Shahrukh Khan attends the world’s most prestigious and glamorous fashion event!” The illustration quickly went viral, and fans couldn’t stop sharing it.

Take a look at the post here:

At the Met Gala, Shah Rukh’s all-black outfit stood out for its elegance and detail. He wore a long coat made from fine Tasmanian wool, layered over a black silk shirt and tailored wool trousers. His look was completed with a pleated satin kamarbandh which gave a traditional touch to the otherwise modern outfit.

What really caught everyone’s eye, though, were the accessories. Shah Rukh wore layered necklaces across his chest, one of which featured a large diamond-studded ‘K’ — a clear nod to his title, King Khan.

While speaking to TIME about his appearance, SRK shared what it meant to be there. “It’s important to represent my countrymen and people. India is taking a stand in a lot of things and it’s important to have our presence felt,” the actor said.

He also praised this year’s Met Gala theme — Superfine: Tailoring Black Style — and spoke about what drew him to it. “I liked what it stood for—the concept of revolution and resolution, not through anger or fighting, but by being exuberant and artistic. Dressing up in a way that made a statement,” he said.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is preparing for his upcoming film King where he will share the screen with his daughter Suhana Khan for the first time. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the movie also stars Abhishek Bachchan and Abhay Verma in important roles.
