Amitabh Bachchan REACTS To Agastya Nanda’s Debut Film The Archies’ Trailer: ‘You Carry The Torch Ably’

Amitabh Bachchan sent his love and blessings to grandson Agastya Nanda after the release of his debut film The Archies’ trailer.

Zoya Akhtar finally revealed the trailer of her much-talked-about film, The Archies, on Thursday, November 9. For the film, Zoya has roped in almost all new faces, including Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda. Amitabh Bachchan has now reacted to the trailer.

Taking to the microblogging site X, formerly known as Twitter, Amitabh shared the film’s trailer and wrote, “Agastya my love blessings and more .. you carry the torch ably ahead.”

When the trailer was released, Abhishek Bachchan also expressed his excitement and wrote, “This is just so cool! Can’t wait to see it. Agastya, I’m so, so proud of you. From jumping on my bed as a kid playing the air guitar to jumping out of the screen with a real one….. the journey has just begun. Play hard! Zo, you’ve knocked it out of the park again! And to the rest of the kids and the crew, all the very best. Very exciting. Welcome to the movies!” He shared the film’s trailer on his handle with this sweet note.

The Archies is set in desi Riverdale in which Suhana plays the role of Veronica Lodge, a teenager who has just moved back from the UK and is ready to dive into the 2.0 version of her teenage life. She is best friends with Betty Cooper, played by Khushi, and Archie Andrews, essayed by Agastya. While everything seems to be going well, things take a turn when Veronica’s father decides to bring in some major changes in town, endangering it’s very essence.

The cast of the film also includes Mihir Ahuja, Aditi ‘Dot’ Saigal, Yuvraj Menda and Vedang Raina. The film will be released on Netflix on December 7.
