Actress Priyanka Arul Mohan did not have an easy start in the film industry. Her first two Telugu films, Gang Leader and Sreekaram, did not perform well at the box office. She, however, managed to work her way up. Priyanka is now bagging good projects, despite the industry’s propensity to shun actors with such a career trajectory. She’s securing an incredible second opportunity, demonstrating her rarity as an actress. She is all set to feature in a number of high-profile films including Pawan Kalyan’s OG and Vivek Athreya’s Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, where she will reunite with Nani.
Recently, the puja ceremony for Saripodha Sanivaaram was held. Pictures and videos from the puja ceremony were shared on the internet, many of them featuring Priyanka. A section of fans trolled Priyanka after the photos went viral. Netizens said that Priyanka looked overweight in the photos. They schooled the actress on how to lose weight and fat-shamed her.
Priyanka, however, had a very unique approach to this trolling and took it lightly. She recently addressed the matter and jokingly blamed her Don co-star Sivakarthikeyan for her supposed weight gain. The actress said that Sivakartkikeyan has a sweet tooth and has a tendency to share his sweets with his co-stars and others on set. Hence, when they were working on Don together, Sivakarhikeyan offered her a lot of sweets that she could not refuse, resulting in her gaining weight. Her humorous statement has now gone viral on social media and fans are hailing her for her sense of humour. Priyanka has also shared screen space with Sivakarthikeyan previously in the film, Doctor.
Priyanka Arul Mohan has also been signed for Gopichand Maleneni’s next opposite Ravi Teja. If reports are to be believed, the role was originally offered to Rashmika Mandanna, before Priyanka replaced her in the film. She is also getting good projects in Tamil. She has bagged the female lead in Dhanush’s upcoming film, Captain Miller.
