Aayush Sharma REVEALS Why He Left Salman Khan Productions: ‘It’s A Closed Set-Up, Growth Would Be Stunted’

Aayush Sharma’s Ruslaan is not backed by Salman Khan.

Aayush Sharma opened up about why he’s no longer working with Salman Khan’s production house.

Actor Aayush Sharma is married to Salman Khan’s younger sister Arpita Khan. Aayush made his film debut in 2018 with the romantic drama Loveyatri. The film was backed by Salman Khan. Aayush’s next film was also a Salman Khan Films production, Antim: The Final Truth, also featuring Salman. However, Aayush’s Ruslaan is his first venture outside his brother-in-law’s production house. In a recent interview, Aayush was thus asked about “what went wrong” between Salman and him.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, he said, “It is not like that, it is my house. No actor works with only one production house. Honestly, it is very funny, but my choices have been in a lot of discussions. There are many actors who have worked in their comfort zone, worked with a particular production house, then went out, then went back to the same production house. I wanted to step out, my intention is to go out there.”

“I cannot keep working only in the family, in a closed set-up, because then my growth would also be stunted. It was a conscious decision to move out of the family for some time to work outside. It was important for me to grow, learn myself, evolve and be worthy enough to be called back,” he added.

However, Aayush also acknowledged the opportunities given to him by Salman and said, “You don’t get to play such an important role in your second film, in a movie which has Salman. It was not a guest appearance of 5-7 minutes, he was an important character in the film. Somewhere down the line, the story revolves around my character. This opportunity you don’t get (often), but I got it. I have to be grateful and understand that this is the biggest support I can ever get. Now the journey has to be mine.”
