Saif Ali Khan was last seen in the Netflix film Jewel Thief. Before this, he played the antagonist in Jr NTR-starrer Devara: Part 1.

Saif Ali Khan is celebrating his 55th birthday today, August 16. Since morning, his family and fans have been showering social media with greetings for the Devara actor. After Kareena Kapoor dropped a goofy wish for him, his sister Saba Pataudi wished her “bhaijaan” with several unseen photos from their childhood and his current family life, comprising his four kids – Sara, Ibrahim, Taimur and Jeh. Saba Pataudi also wrote a beautiful note, addressing brother Saif Ali Khan as “bhaijaan”. She continued, “Bhaijaan mere…. What can I say, or where do u begin! From the time you decided to torture me, As a baby (lol)..I was told you weren’t too kicked to have your no.1 position be taken by a kid sister (not knowing you’d have yet another too- literally! haha).”

Saif Ali Khan had a tumultous start to the year

The year 2025 began for Saif Ali Khan with a lot of challenges. The actor was stabbed in the neck by an intruder at his house. He had to undergo a surgery, however, he bounced back fine. Saif Ali Khan was last seen in Netflix film Jewel Thief. He will be next seen in Haiwaan, which also stars Akshay Kumar.

While speaking with Hindustan Times about reuniting with Saif Ali Khan in Haiwaan, Akshay Kumar said, “It’s great that I am working again with Priyadarshan ji. And the best part is that I’m working with Saif Ali Khan again. After a long time, we are both going to come together. I am actually waiting to start shooting with him. And he is also a very funny guy. But farak ye hai uska jo humour hai wo bohot hi SoBo hai. Bohot hi South Bombay hai. Aur mera jo hai, wo Andheri Borivali ke side se jaake aage tak jaata hai. Toh dono ka humour jo hai bilkul hi alag hai. (But the difference is that his humour is very SoBo — very South Bombay. And mine is more like it starts from Andheri, goes through Borivali, and beyond. So both our styles of humour are completely different). But it’s going to be so much fun shooting with him.”

The film will reportedly go on floors in August this year, and will likely release in 2026. This marks the first collaboration between Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan in 17 years, following their last outing together in the 2008 film Tashan. Previously, they have collaborated on several hit films including the cult classic Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1994), Yeh Dillagi (1994), Tu Chor Main Sipahi (1996), and Keemat (1998).
